Knowing that through life’s uncertainty and the hurt in this world; we can find peace in chaos and stability during difficult times. At Ashley’s Hope we want to embrace your family and journey alongside you as you care for the unique and special one in your family.

Ashley’s Hope Autism Christian Charity

Ashley’s Hope is a Christian Charity that was founded by a parent from an African background, who has her young person diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Through her parenting experience she recognised the challenges of raising a child with Autism within the African community.  She was inspired to set up this charity when she discovered the similar challenges exists for families raising children with Autism within the Caribbean community.

The Charity is governed by a Board of Trustees who are passionate about improving the lives of families from the African and Caribbean backgrounds. We have joined our skills, knowledge and similar aspirations to ensure families from this community receives the same level of care and support as any other groups.

The Charity’s Values

Ashley’s Hope Charity operates from Christian values that remind us that everyone is special in God’s eyes and there is HOPE FOR ALL in Him

God's instruction is that as he loves us, we are to replicate this love to overflow to everyone, regardless of who they are or their limitations. Serving the community is one way we share this love. We believe that every individual is special in God’s eyes.

Love

We are tasked to be kind to one another and tender-hearted. We show compassion by listening actively, creating a space for sharing, caring and praying for families.

Kindness

We encourage and strengthen families to navigate the challenges associated with caring for a child or young person with Autism. In doing this we demonstrate God’s plans for your family and to give you a future and hope.

Hope

Kindness- (Ephesians 4:32) – We are tasked to be kind to one another, and tender-hearted. We show compassion by listening actively, creating a space for sharing, caring, praying for families

Hope (Jeremiah 29:11)- We encourage and strengthen families to navigate the challenges associated with Autism condition. In doing this we demonstrate God’s plans for welfare and to give you a future and a hope.

This service focuses on connecting with the African and Caribbean communities. Research shows that this group has a high prevalence of the condition. It has also been identified that this community experiences significant barriers to support. This has resulted in high rate of late diagnosis or undiagnosed cases which is caused by cultural stigma, language barrier, and limited awareness. As such our support is tailored to the specific needs of families from African and Caribbean communities.

We operate in England and Sierra Leone West Africa.
