- Who do we support
This service focuses on connecting with the African and Caribbean communities. Research shows that this group has a high prevalence of the condition. It has also been identified that this community experiences significant barriers to support. This has resulted in a high rate of late diagnosis or undiagnosed cases which is caused by cultural stigma, language barrier, and limited awareness. As such our support is tailored to the specific needs of families from African and Caribbean communities.
